This morning on Broadcast, our ten winners with the most minutes read on MyOn this week were awarded their Summer Reading T-shirts! The winners are: Julia D., Jennifer K., Adithi V., Cassie P., Nikhil S., Alaina H., Myra S., Alizeh M., Matthew E., and Akhilesh B.
We also awarded a few additional t-shirts to one or two students from each grade level with the next highest number of minutes read on MyOn so far. Those winners are: K: Niranjana J., 1st: Rashmi V., 2nd: Jordan M., 3rd: Ester Y., 4th: Ashley H. and Naomi M., and 5th: Rhea J.
We are so proud to announce that as of this morning, our 696 students had read 3,922 books for a total 781 hours, 33 minutes — just in the last week! KEEP UP THE FABULOUS READING THIS SUMMER, LEOPARDS!

Our first “End of the Year — My Account is Clear” winners will be announced the Monday after Book Fair — Monday, May 16th!
This Friday, May 10th, will be the last day you can check out books during this school year! We have to start collecting all of our library books to make sure they are safe and sound over the summer and ready for you to check out again in August!
Beginning Friday, May 17th, we will have a DAILY drawing for a student in each grade level to win free stuff if their library account is clear (all books turned in, no overdue books, no damaged or lost books)!
England Students & Families,
While I am home taking care of my new baby in the next few months, England is lucky to have a great librarian who will be our substitute librarian through the end of the year! Her name is Mrs. Sorrels, and she is a recently retired librarian, most recently at Deep Wood Elementary just down the road. She is excited to be teaching lots of lessons to our students, hosting our Spring Book Fair the week of April 29 – May 3, and we have some special End-Of-The-Year surprises in store, too! Here is a message from Mrs. Sorrels:
I am very happy to be working at Elsa England while your librarian is at home with her baby. I am a retired librarian with 18 years experience. I’m also an artist who loves to paint. My favorite book is Because of Winn Dixie. Bryan Collier is my favorite illustrator.
