Our England students LOVED having Author Julie Sternberg visit last school year and it seems like each day, another student is asking me if we have a copy of Like Pickle Juice on a Cookie or Like Bug Juice on a Burger in stock in our library!

Julie Sternberg is back in Round Rock, promoting her NEWEST book, Like Carrot Juice on a Cupcake, published just TWO weeks ago!

Mark your calendars to visit The Book Spot on Monday, April 7th at 6:30 pm to see Julie Sternberg! Copies of all three of her books will be available for purchase and personalization by the author.  I hope many students can attend this FREE event!

Author Julie Sternberg Visited England Elementary!

Today, author Julie Sternberg visited the Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders at England Elementary!  She is the author of the Texas-Bluebonnet-Award-nominated-book Like Pickle Juice on a Cookie.

She spoke to our students about the writing process, how she gets the ideas for her stories, and she also gave us a sneak peek into her next book (due in April 2013) titled Like Bug Juice on a Burger!  Did you know that “bug juice” is what they call fruit punch at summer camp?

Thank you to our AWESOME PTA for sponsoring her visit to England Elementary!  I know our leopards had a great time reading the book and meeting Mrs. Sternberg today!
